ugh. This piece took shamefully a longtime. Part of it was trying to find a good reference picture, especially of her neck. Good realism practice though. So yeah. It's Lady Mary from Downton Abbey, done on Krita 2.4 (as if you couldn't tell by the abuse of smudge rake tool).
bbbeeeeaaaautiful!! This is one of my favorite pieces of Downton Abbey fanart. I especially love it because it's original, not just some airbrushed screenshot or something...so, all of the time you put into it was worth it! Lovely lines and colors...so pretty!
I think my favourite part was the abuse of the smudge rake tool - the background looks so much more alive As I said before: The progression!!!! It was wonderful to see the finished product
Thank you! Though I shouldn't use it for everything. It just starts to look lazy. I should compile all the versions on a gif file or something to really see the progression.
That's true. But still, very pretty! Progression - I was going to say like those flip books where things become animated, but then I realized that's not it.... XD But yeah, when you've got time you should compile them!
Beautiful, especially the thoughtful look on her face. Would be nice to see her hand (the arm looks a bit elongated), but the lighting and color palette work beautifully.
Thank you very much! The face at that angle is quite hard so I'm glad you liked that part. I see what you meant with the arm. Hopefully, the quick crop edit should fix it up a bit.
